The garden of approximately 1/6 acre (660 sq m) is in the conservation area of the world's First Garden City on a site sloping from the street towards the back. When we moved here in early 2000 the garden was mainly laid to lawn and contained a large pond and old fruit trees, both of which are still strong features of the garden today. We have since terraced the garden, creating three levels with paths and steps joining the patio near the house to the very bottom of the garden.
My garden will be open for the National Garden Scheme (NGS)
on August Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August 2019, 2-6pm.
